This book is an excellent history of an officer's young widow. This book is in good condition for its publication date of 1846. The spine has gilt lettering and decoration. The cover has medium wear. The corners are lightly bumped. There is some scuffing on the cover. There is heavy spot foxing throughout the book. The last owners name is written on the front inside board in both writing and on a sticker. There is NO writing in the reading text of this book.
